Wasps & Bees

Can be dangerous especially to childrencloseup-wasp

Although wasps feed on insects such as houseflies and garden pests, some can also be dangerous to people. Wasps are known to cause allergic reactions which sometimes result in death. However, most wasps typically ignore people unless approached. They are very territorial.

Wasps produce nests either from mud or from paper fibers they collect from trees. These nests can be found attached to twigs, rocks, or human structures.

There are approximately 75,000 known species of wasps. They are most active in the summer and fall.
